Woolly Bully

So, I just finished the most gorgeous scarf for myself.

The yarn is Woolly Bully by Estelle and the colours (purple and pink and orange oh my) are absolutely stunning.

The finished measurements are 64" x 8", not counting the 9" fringe.

Seriously luscious.

Hi! I just bought some green/blue/brown woolly bully and am just starting my scarf. I'm wondering, did you just use the knit stitch, or did you use both knit AND purl? I'm a beginner knitter, so I can't really tell from your close-up image(I know purling usually makes a "V" shape...".) I can purl, so would include it if it's needed.

Thanks!

Karla, who lives in Manitoba and needs a warm scarf!

Karla:

The whole thing was knit. Knit knit knit knit knit.

Not a purl stitch in sight.

I didn't bother doing any sort of fancy stitch, since the yarn is star of this show.

Hope that helps,

Thank you! Just what I wanted to hear! I still prefer knit to purl!

Thanks again!

Hi,

I would love to knit this scarf for my mother's 80th birthday. I have this exact color too!

I wanted to know how many you cast on and did you use the #15 (10mm) needle to knit with? If not, what size needle did you use? How much yarn should be put aside for the fringe?

thanks!
