So, Connie's been at her wits end, (not surprising, what with the new store and all) and as such, passed her space at a spinning wheel class at Lettuce Knit to me.

I'm totally in love with this new (to me) craft and am now on the lookout for this wheel.


My first attempt was less than inspiring.



My sad, sad attempt at Andean Plying.


This silk/merino blend was gorgeous to work with.
My technique, however, left much to be desired.


I'm actually pretty proud of this bitty baby.
Husband? Not so much.

Husband - (Makes a face) What the heck is that?
Me - Hey! Don't be hating the two ply. I'm quite proud of myself.
Husband - Well, that makes one of us.
